A chilly but lovely Fall afternoon on Ward's Island Beach, a favorite refuge not far from the crowded city. This was a tangle of trees I had already sketched earlier in the year. Phil says my sketch is a lie because I painted it after the fact, haha.. and there was no where near this level of yellow in the leaves yet. But soon... I'll bet by next week the colours will be much more Fallish.
